Pellegrini Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon

Bob and Joyce Pellegrini founded Pellegrini Vineyards in 1982. Located in Cutchogue, Long Island, New
York, the Pellegrinis began with just 30 acres, which now houses the oldest vines in the appellation. In
1988, they acquired two additional parcels just down the road - a 14-acre vineyard called South Harbor
and the 28-acre Richmond Creek vineyard both of which face south and are planted to well draining,
loamy soils. The Pellegrinis are dedicated farmers and viticulturists, their careful clonal and rootstock
selection and progressive growing methods are constantly tweaked so that they may create wines that
honestly express Long Island terroir. Winemaker Tom Drozd uses young vines and some purchased fruit
to produce their East End Select line of wines.
| Tasting notes |
| The blend was aged for 19
months in a mix of French and Hungarian oak and presents classic aromas and flavors of cassis, black
cherry, espresso and dark fruit. Firm and juicy tannins lead to a long and pleasant finish. |
| Technical notes |
