Pellegrini Vineyards Chardonnay Vintner's Pride 750ML 2007
Sku: 2522271

Bob and Joyce Pellegrini founded Pellegrini Vineyards in 1982. Located in Cutchogue, Long Island, New York, the Pellegrinis began with just 30 acres, which now houses the oldest vines in the appellation. In 1988, they acquired two additional parcels just down the road - a 14-acre vineyard called South Harbor and the 28-acre Richmond Creek vineyard both of which face south and are planted to well draining, loamy soils. The Pellegrinis are dedicated farmers and viticulturists, their careful clonal and rootstock selection and progressive growing methods are constantly tweaked so that they may create wines that honestly express Long Island terroir. Winemaker Tom Drozd uses young vines and some purchased fruit to produce their East End Select line of wines.

Tasting notes
Shows luscious fruit elements that are nicely integrated with rich cream and hints of oak.

Technical notes
A selection of the estate's best Chardonnay was barrel fermented and aged on the lees for 18-20 months in French oak puncheons.
